Samad Seyidov: â€œMister Strasser visited Azerbaijan recently as representative of the Council of Europeâ€

Seyidov said that Azerbaijan did not protest against Strasserâ€™s visit to this country: â€œOur protest does not concern Mister Strasser, it concerns his activity as co-rapporteur on political prisoners in Azerbaijan. We have repeatedly declared our attitude toward this issue. We are against appointment of co-rapporteur on political prisoners in Azerbaijan at PACE and consider it as bias against Azerbaijanâ€.

Moreover Seyidov took stance on information about not giving visa to Christopher Strasser: â€œIf he arrived in Azerbaijan as an observer, how did he do that without a visa? It means that he received a visa. Some media write as if Strasser had not been allowed to come to Azerbaijan. Nevertheless, Mister Strasser paid a visit to Azerbaijanâ€.
