Solemn Commemoration of Bloody January 20 in U.S. Capital

Washington – APA. Vincent Gray, US Capital - District of Columbia’s new mayor signed a document that says that January 20 was solemnly commemorated by the Capital, APA’s

In his letter, Mayor Gray, extended formal recognition and official commemoration of the Black January 1990 tragedy.
According to Mr. Gray, Azerbaijan was invaded on the night of January 19-20,
1990 and hundreds of Azerbaijanis were killed and wounded in a courageous
resistance against their attackers; and today Azerbaijanis remember this tragic
event as one of a series of events that later led to the independence of
Azerbaijan.
