UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Fikret Akcura makes report at Azerbaijani Diplomatic Academy - <font color=red> PHOTO</font>

Baku – APA. UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Fikret Akcura made a report at the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy on topic “Human Capital Development and UNDP activities in Azerbaijan”.

Director of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy’s (ADA) Foreign Policy Program Aygun Hajiyeva noted in her keynote speech that ADA holds meetings with the professors, who visit Azerbaijan, and representatives of the international organizations and diplomatic missions in the country and tries to cover their activities. The meeting with UN Resident Coordinator in Azerbaijan Fikret Akcura is one of the meetings organized in this context.

Mr. Akchura thanked the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy for an opportunity given to him to make report and informed about the UNDP Annual Report. He also spoke about statistics used in this report, opening of various indicators and its importance for Azerbaijan.

Mr. Akchura mentioned that Azerbaijan moved 16 steps forward in the human capital index and it is the most rapidly developing country in the world. He positively assessed the local government’s investments to human capital and economy, transport infrastructure.
