Baku – APA. Azerbaijani extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador to Canada Farid Shafiyev visited Sudbury city of Ontario province, the Embassy told APA. In his meeting with Sudbury’s major Marianne Matichuk, they discussed the development issues of bilateral cooperation, especially the studying of Sudbury’s experience in mining industry and the cooperation issues in this sphere.
In his meeting with member of House of Commons of Canadian parliament Glenn Thibeault they focused attention on discussion of bilateral parliament relations as well as political, economical and humanitarian issues.
The ambassador acquainted with Sudbury’s mining industry.
Shafiyev also gave an interview to Canadian Broadcasting Company’s north bureau.
