He said that they met with two counselors of the embassy: “They asked some questions about our dimission from the party, and we answered them”.

Geybulla told APA that they met with advisors on political issues of U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan: “They were interested in incidents took place inside Musavat Party, as well as reasons of our resign. We noted that despite our resign, we support musavat again”.

To question on why only US embassy invited them, not other organizations, or diplomatic corps, Geybulla responded: “We received this invitation for ethics. But be sure of that, interest of the state was always the most important for me”.

Other two former musavatists – Sulhaddin Akbar and Ibrahim Ibrahimli visited US embassy in the second half of the day.

Remind that, Akbar and Ibrahimli resigned from the party in November, Huseynli and Geybulla on January 4 of this year.
