Member of Iranian Parliament Vakil Sepah: â€œCountries which keep Armenia in subjection donâ€™t let Iran to mediate in solution of Nagorno Karabakh conflictâ€

Baku. Suleyman Farzaliyev - APA. â€œWe discussed both Nagorno Karabakh issue and Khodjali massacre in the Iranian parliamentmany times. But it was not official discussionsâ€, deputy from Tebriz city, doctor Mahammad Huseyn Farhangi told APA: â€œKarabakh is our painful problem. We see martyrs and injured people there as ours. Iran is very interested in the solution of this problem. We hope that this problem will be solved. If Armenia is able to express its view, this problem would be solved easily. Of course the discussion of this issue by the inter-parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries as well as the informing of MPs of Iran and other countries must be the main work of this group. I think there is apathy in this field and we must give an impetus to this issueâ€.

Deputy from Parsabad Vakil Sepah expressed his opinion on Nagorno Karabakh conflict: â€œThe issue will not be solved by discussing Khojali massacre. Khojali massacre is one of the massacres in Karabakh. The Minsk Group has been working for many years in order to solve Karabakh conflict. Of course it is not clear for us. The outside countries are not interested in solving of this problem. The solution of the problem will be with the participation of regional countries. Iran had offered its mediation to both Azerbaijan and Armenia. Azerbaijani government accepted this offer. We see that Azerbaijan use all the chances and is ready to use for solving the problem. Unfortunately Armenia didnâ€™t accept this offerâ€.

The deputy said that Iran could be the mediator for the solution of the problem if conflict sides consent with it: â€œWe know where it sources from. The countries which keep Armenia in subjection donâ€™t let it. Russia, USA, Minsk Group which keep Armenia in subjection donâ€™t allow to do that. I think that Armenia doesnâ€™t say its own word. They fear of Iranâ€™s participation in the solution of Nagorno Karabakh problem and fear that Iranâ€™s name will be declined positively. It is clear that Nagorno Karabakh is Azerbaijani historical land. Iran will show its efforts toward the solution of this problemâ€.
