Moreover, he took stance on opinions about that the existing situation would last until parliamentary elections to be held in June of next year in Turkey, and then the situation would change: â€œUntil Armenians solve this issue, that is until Azerbaijani occupied lands are freed we will not bring this issue up to discussion. Government and opposition act together in this issue. We said it to our brothers came from Azerbaijan as well. The delegation led by Commission Chairman Majid Marjan went to Baku and demonstrated the same position thereâ€.

To question on whether Switzerland has new initiative or not, Yilmaz said that Turkey wishes peace and stability in the region: â€œIf any step is taken in this direction in any part of the world, we will support it too. If the countries interested in this issue take steps which we do not want, we will protest them. The biggest problem of the Caucasus is that Azerbaijani lands have been under occupation for a long timeâ€.
