Iranian ambassador comments on reports that hosting of Azerbaijani travelers in houses will be banned

He said the administration of Eastern Azerbaijan province is making efforts to extend relations with Azerbaijan. Ambassador noted that governor of Eastern Azerbaijan province is his friend and is doing his best to extend the relations with Azerbaijan.
â€œHe is making efforts for launching Baku-Tabriz flight,â€ he said.

Chief of the Foreigners Migration and Passport Office of Iranâ€™s Eastern Azerbaijan province Mahammadali Gafarzadeh proposed to ban on inviting the Azerbaijani singers to Iranian weddings and hosting the Azerbaijani travelers in houses in Iran. Gafarzadeh told journalists on November 10 that sometimes Iranian citizens invite singers from the Republic of Azerbaijan to their weddings and it its illegal action and created different problems among the different strata of the society. â€œThose who will breach a ban on hosting the travelers in houses will be punished. Azerbaijani guests hosted by their relatives and friends should inform our office within 72 hours and ask permission. Otherwise they should stay in the controlled hotels. Recently some foreigners, including Azerbaijanis are staying in the houses of Tebriz residents and it created difficulties to find and control them, as well as security, political and moral problems.
