Turk PA holds international conference â€œParliamentary democracy in the development of the relations among statesâ€ in Baku

International conference â€œParliamentary democracy in the development of the relations among statesâ€ organized by Turkic-Speaking Countries Parliamentary Assembly (Turk PA) has been held in Baku State University, press service of the university told APA. Rector of the university Abel Maharramov said the end of the 20th century â€“ beginning of the 21st century is significant with the increasing contacts of the representatives from Turkic-speaking countries, mutual visits of the delegations, establishment of TURKSOY, Turk PA, expansion of the bilateral and multilateral relations of the Turkic-speaking countries.

Secretary General of Turk PA Ramil Hasanov and head of the parliamentâ€™s administration Safa Mirzayev addressed the conference.

Turkish Parliament Secretary General Sadettin Kalkan said the Turkish parliament was the member of 12 international interparliamentary organizations. He said cooperation within the framework of the Turk PA, extension of the political, economic, cultural relations among states were important.

Touching on the importance of the event, deputy head of the Kazakh Senate administration Berik Arin said it would give an impetus to the mutual cooperation among the Turk PA countries.
