“Bryza has become a hostage of divergences in the White House and one can not claim that there is a conspiracy behind it. His appointment is assessed in terms of the distribution of forces in the Obama administration. Somebody’s position is becoming strong, somebody’s weak. Of course, there are geopolitical views, but they are not major. Armenian lobby is strong in the US, they have some influence, but their influence is limited,†he said.
US Senate will today hold hearings on the appointment of Matthew Bryza as ambassador to Azerbaijan.
