She spoke about the integration of Latvia into European Union and activity of the government of her country toward implementation of the European standards in the national legislation. The former president said series of laws were adopted and some articles of the Constitution were amended in Latvia on the way of integration into European Union.
Speaking about the EU foreign policy, Vaira Vike-Freiberga said it was important for all member countries to have same position, particularly to have same position on the energy policy.
The former president answered the questions of the students of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy.
