NATO Parliamentary Assembly likely to hold discussions on Nagorno Karabakh conflict during fall session

Ilhama Isabalayeva â€“ APA. â€œPresident of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly John Tanner promised that the Nagorno Karabakh conflict will be raised during the fall session,â€ first vice-speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament, head of the Azerbaijani delegation to NATO PA Ziyafat Asgarov told journalists, APA reports. He said he had met with the President of NATO Parliamentary Assembly during the spring session.
â€œAll the documents adopted concerning Nagorno Karabakh conflict were introduced to Mr. Tanner. John Tanner promised to raise this issue during the fall session of NATO Parliamentary Assembly. This fact caused serious concern of Armenia. This issue will also be considered at the UN on Azerbaijanâ€™s initiative on September 9. NATO being an influential military, political organization should express its position on this issue,â€ he said.
Ziyafat Asgarov expressed his confidence that Azerbaijanâ€™s right position will win again.
â€œWe will at least get a new support. Of course, this will make Armenia think over the issue again. Armenian leadership should think better of it. This can not last long,â€ he said.
