Azerbaijan’s National Security Minister Eldar Mahmudov receives NATO’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia - <font color=red> PHOTO</font>

Baku - APA. Azerbaijan’s National Security Minister, Lieutenant-General Eldar Mahmudov received NATO’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia Robert Simmons, Public Relations of the Ministry told APA. Mahmudov noted that IPAP with Northern Alliance was realized successfully and bilateral relations developed dynamically. The minister said that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyevâ€™s decisions, appropriate instructions played an important role in the development of relations with international structures, partnership relations, as well as intensification of cooperation with NATO and strengthening of the integration into Euro-Atlantic space.

Within the framework of his visit to Azerbaijan Simmons said that he was satisfied with the results of conducted discussions. He noted that fulfillment of IPAP, as well as done works by National Security Ministry due to security issues assumed great importance and his organization had information all about these and that, the opportunities for further cooperation had extended. Other issues connected with the systematic development of relations between Azerbaijan and NATO were discussed at the meeting as well.
