Ali Bilge Cankorel: Democracy is young in Azerbaijan and much should be done for the complete development of the democracy

The main theme of discussion was the support for the democratic values in Azerbaijan. Ali Bilge Cankorel touched on the activity of OSCE Office in Baku and noted that the office had activated its work before the parliamentary elections.
â€œOSCE Office in Baku is trying to create an atmosphere of more active dialogue before the elections. The activity of the office focuses on raising awareness concerning the realization of the right of freedom of assembly, prevention of the interference in the election process, registration of the candidates and the role of the mass media in the elections,â€ he said.

Touching on the development of the democratic values in Azerbaijan, head of the OSCE Office in Baku said democracy is young in Azerbaijan and much should be done for the complete development of the democracy.
â€œAzerbaijan is an economically developed, politically stable country and has large development prospects in the region,â€ he said.
