Baku – APA. Azerbaijan’s embassy in the UK, also accredited in Denmark, the European Azerbaijan Society and the Azerbaijani community in Denmark organized an event in Ratusha square on the occasion of 28 May – Republic Day, Azerbaijani embassy in the US told APA. Representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, Azerbaijani and Turkish community participated in the event. Ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov spoke about the historical importance of the day and congratulated the Azerbaijanis. He noted that the Republic Day is an important event in the history of Azerbaijani statehood and independence.
Photo exhibition describing ancient and modern period of Azerbaijani history and culture, results of Armenia’s aggression against Azerbaijan, national cuisine, national musical instruments was organized during the event.
