Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan pays business visit to Great Britain

Baku - APA. Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Vagif Sadigov was on a business visit to Great Britain on May 25-27, press service of the ministry told APA. Sadigov held meetings at the Foreign Ministry and parliament of that country. During those meetings current state of relations between the two countries was discussed and views were exchanged on extension of the relations.

Within the framework of the visit, deputy minister visited Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies and got acquainted with the activity of the organization. Establishment of relations between Azerbaijan and related investigation organizations were discussed with the center.

At the invitation of authoritative Oxford Union Debating Society functioning in the composition of Oxford University, Sadigov made a speech on “Foreign policy of Azerbaijan and its role in the region”. He spoke about foreign policy priorities of Azerbaijan, peace negotiations conducted in the direction of solution to Nagorno Karabakh conflict, energy policy of Azerbaijan and its role in the international energy market.
