State budgetâ€™s surplus for January-April makes more than AZN 410 mln

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. In January-April, 2013, AZN 6.7 bln was transferred to state budget of Azerbaijan, AZN 6.2 bln was spent from the budget and consequently, surplus made AZ 410.4 mln or 2.4% of GDP.

State Statistical Committee says AZN 2.8 bln or 45.6% of budget expenditures went to economic growth, AZN 629.5 mln (10.1%) – to social protection and social security, AZN 493.6 mln (7.9%) - to education and health and AZN 1.1 bln (17.6%) – to payment of salaries, pensions and benefits.

Compared to a year earlier, budget receipts increased by 24.1%, expenditures – by 59%, surplus – dropped 3.6 times.
