Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Russian economy has lost from RR281.7 bln to RR311.5 bln ($10 bln) due to social networks, experts of Russian FBK audit and consulting company reported.
The experts say most of Russian citizens use Facebook, VKontakte and such networks at work and spend the time for these social networks. Consequently, the economy faces damage. At the same time, it affects reduction of productivity.
According to calculations of the experts, number of social network users in 2012 approached 51.8 mln and each user spent 26.5 minutes on the social network (monthly – 12.8 hours). Each active employer has lost 3,187.2 minutes or 53.1 hours in a year.
Consequently, Russian economy has lost at least RR 281.7 bln, maximum – RR 311.5 bln.
For comparison to note that, the US economy loses $650 bln every year.
