Baku. Yegane Lachinzade – APA-Economics. As of February 1, 2015, number of hired workers in Azerbaijan’s economy made 1,511,400, of which 881,600 are in state sector, 629,800 in non-state sector.
According to State Statistical Committee, 22.3% hired workers worked in education, 18.7% in trade, repair of transport facilities, 12.5% in industry, 8.6% in medical and social service for population, 7.2% in construction, 4.7% in transport and storehouse, 3.8% in professional, scientific and technical activity, 2.9% in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 1.7% in information and communication and 17.6% in other spheres.
Average monthly salary of the hired workers made AZN 444.4.
