More than 72,800 insurance contracts signed on compulsory vehicle insurance last month

Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. In July, 2013, more than 72,800 insurance contracts were signed on compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners via information system of Compulsory Insurance Bureau.

According to Bureau, of this, nearly 23,100 were compulsory insurance contracts signed for a month and related to vehicles registered abroad and entering Azerbaijan for transit.

Total amount of premiums on compulsory insurance contracts exceeded AZN 5.6 mln. Compared to June, 2013, number of contracts rose 5.9%, insurance premiums – 7.2%. By contrast to July, 2012, these indexes dropped 1.9% and 6.7%.

In July, 2012, average insurance premium made AZN 77.0.
