Baku. Victoria Dementieva - APA-Economics. The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI) plans to open representative in Azerbaijan, said the Secretary General of the Council Omar Hafiz, APA reports quoting Reuters.
According to him, CIBAFI intends to extend its geographical coverage of the cooperation: “To deepen the cooperation with African countries, we intend to open representation in Tunis, with Central Asian countries - in Baku”.
Note that the headquarters of CIBAFI is located in Bahrain. The organization includes 114 banks and financial institutions.
