Cash money level drops to 64.6% in Azerbaijan

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of September 1, 2013, M3 money supply made AZN 17,442.3 mln, up AZN 2,439.3 mln or 16.3% from previous year.

 

Central Bank of Azerbaijan says money supply rose AZN 667.0 mln or 4.0% in January-August.

 

Note that M3 Board includes cash out of banks, demand and term deposits and savings.

 

M2 Board of money supply rose AZN 2,512.9 mln or 20.6% to AZN 14,731.2 mln in comparison to a year earlier.

Compared to 2010-2011, growth rate of manat money supply gradually decreases. So, the growth in 2010 made 34.5%, in 2011 – 32.5%, in 2012 – 25.6%.

 

At the same time, cash manat supply soared AZN 1,382.3 mln or 17.0%. Thus, 55.0% of growth of manat money supply falls to share of cash money increase.

 

As of September 1, 2013, cashing level was equal to 64.6%, down 2.0 percentage points in annual comparison.
