Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) intends to obtain license to sell precious metals

Bank - APA-Economics. Bank VTB (Azerbaijan) intends to obtain license to sell precious metals, Chairman of bank’s Management Board Yuri Yakovlev told APA-Economics.

“We have already appealed to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to obtain the license. The license is expected to be granted soon. The authorities which we appealed to reacted positively. Bank VTB has its own gold reserves. Along with this, we have a department in Moscow working with precious metals. That department sells precious metals to India, Arabic countries and other markets”, Yakovlev said.

The interview with Yakovlev will be posted on the site soon. He touched upon influence of devaluation on banking sector, including his bank and other issues.
