Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of August 1, 2013, population’s deposits in Azerbaijan-based banks rose 20.5% to AZN 1,986.4 mln to AZN 11,655.1 mln.
AZN 6,019.3 mln or 51.7% of deposits was household deposits. The deposits soared AZN 1,604.1 mln or 36.3% year-on-year, AZN 905.9 mln or 17.7% - since the beginning of this year.
At the same time, legal entities’ deposits stood at AZN 5,635.8 mln, up AZN 382.3 mln or 7.3% from a year ago.
In legal entities’ deposits, AZN 2,882.1 mln or 51.1% belonged financial organizations, AZN 2,753.7 mln or 48.9% - to non-financial organizations.
