Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Today, Baku hosted investors fair “Directing of responsible finance and ensure stability of sector” by the organization of Azerbaijan’s Microfinance Association. The conference held within the fair discussed current state, development and existing problems.
Executive director of Association Jale Hajiyeva spoke about microfinancial sector. It was noted that at present, total loan portfolio in microfinance sphere is about $997 mln. At the same time, president of Azerbaijan’s Entrepreneurs Confederation Mammad Musayev said that potential of this sphere let us to expect loan portfolio would reach $1 bn in the coming years.
Special session was held within the event. Main topics of the session were related to colleting and management of troubled loans.
Besides, the conference focused on targeted support of foreign and local investors in microfinance operations, as well as alternative ways of funding, legislative factors, capitalization issues, the analysis of the ability to pay, according to market new products and etc. issues.
