Baku. Agshin Rafigoglu – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani-Tajik Intergovernmental Commission on trade and economic cooperation has today held the second meeting in Baku. Tajik delegation led by the Minister of Melioration and Water Resources Rahmat Bobokalonov is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
Before the commission’s meeting, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economic Development Shahin Mustafayev met with Tajik minister. Importance of expansion of political, economic and cultural cooperation relations between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan was noted at the meeting. It was also noted that relations in different spheres developed successfully between the two countries.
Representatives of several state bodies from both sides are attending the intergovernmental commission’s meeting. It was noted that about 40 documents were signed between the two countries, so far. Besides, importance of export of Azerbaijani products to Tajikistan was mentioned at the meeting.
The meeting focused on cooperation perspectives in economic, trade, investment, construction, agriculture, ICT, culture and tourism, irrigation and etc fields. A protocol on results of the second meeting was signed at the end the Azerbaijani-Tajik Economic Commission’s meeting. The document was signed by Mustafayev on the Azerbaijani side and Bobokalonov on the Tajikistan side.
