Azerbaijan sees sharp increase on compulsory personal accident insurance of passengers

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Insurance companies which are participants of Azerbaijan’s Compulsory Insurance Bureau signed 498,884 contracts on compulsory insurance types during January-June, 2013. According to bureau, the insurance premiums on the contracts made AZN 39.339 mln.

Moreover, AZN 32.4 mln came from Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance of Owners of Motor Vehicles, AZn 6.696 mln – from compulsory property insurance, AZN 175.5 mln – from compulsory insurance of civil liability associated with the use of real property, AZN 68.1 mln – from compulsory personal accident insurance for passengers.

Premiums on Compulsory Civil Liability Insurance of Owners of Motor Vehicles dropped 7%, compulsory property insurance, compulsory insurance of civil liability associated with the use of real property and compulsory personal accident insurance for passengers rose 56%, 22% and 4.46 times.
