Azerbaijan sees 23% rise in money supply

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of July 1, 2013, M3 money supply made AZN 17,109.4 mln, up AZN 2,529.9 mln or 17.4% from previous year.

 

Central Bank of Azerbaijan says money supply rose AZN 334.1 mln or 2.0% in January-May.

 

Note that M3 Board includes cash out of banks, demand and term deposits.

 

M2 Board of money supply rose AZN 2,681.5 mln or 23.4% to AZN 14,138.2 mln in comparison to a year earlier.

As it seems cash money supply has increased by AZn 1,588.3 mln or 21.2% year-on-year. So, 59.2% of manat money supply growth falls to share of cash money growth.

 

As of July 1, cashing level in the country made 64.4%, down 1.2 percentage point in annual comparison.
