Azerbaijan ranks 39th in Global Competitiveness Rankings

Baku – APA-Economics. The World Economic Forum released its Global Competitiveness Report (GCR) for 2013-2014. According to document, among the 148 countries which are ranked for Global Competitiveness Index, Azerbaijan has ranked 39th improving 7 rankings.

Switzerland tops the overall rankings in the Global Competitiveness Report for the fourth year with of 5.67 points. Singapore is in the second position, Finland - in the third position, and Germany ranked 4th. The United States was ranked number 5, while Sweden 6, Hong Kong 7, the Netherlands 8, Japan 9, and the United Kingdom ranked at 10.

Azerbaijan had 4.51 points and Chad – 2.85 points.

Turkey ranked 44th with 4.45 points, Kazakhstan – 50th (4.41 points), Russia – 64th (4.25 points), Georgia – 72nd (4.15 points), Armenia – 79th (4.10 points) and Iran – 82nd (4.07 points).
