According to Ministry of Taxes, Swiss Finance Minister Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf, Director of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (FTA) Adrian Hug and FTA Deputy Director, IOTA President Samuel Tanner made speeches in the official opening of the General Assembly.
The delegation of Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes also attended the General Assembly. Advisor of Minister of Taxes Alekber Mammadov has made speech on “role of social partnership in detection of illegal behavior of taxpayers”. He informed about projects implemented by the Ministry of Taxes, including prevention of tax avoidances, formation of partnership relations with the taxpayers, cooperation with other state bodies in this direction, “Tax friends” project, new strategic targets.
In the administrative session of the General Assembly, Director of the Tax Administration of Serbia Ivan Simic was elected as a new president of the organization for 2013/2014. Moreover, elections to Executive Council for next one-year period were held. Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes has become member of Executive Council.
