Azerbaijan-based banks sees 9% rise in overdue loans

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of August 1, 2013, total provision of crediting of Azerbaijan-based credit organizations made AZN 14,199.3 mln, up AZN 3,472.9 mln or 32.4% compared to a year earlier, AZN 1,955.6 mln or 16.0% - by contrast to early 2013.

Household credits in provision of crediting stood at AZN 5,427.4 mln or made 38.2% of total loans. Loans for “Construction and property” have 15.5%, “Trade and service” – 15.3%.

Overdue credits made AZN 776.6 mln, up AZN 61.5 mln or 8.6% in comparison to a year earlier. Share of overdue credits dropped to 5.5% from 6.7%.
