Azerbaijan-based 11 insurers see decline in premiums

Baku. Musa Ahmadov - APA-Economics. Pasha Insurance headed the insurance market with the premiums of AZN 26.1 mln in January-February, 2015, Azerbaijan Insurers Association told APA-Economics.

Ateshgah collected AZN 11.2 mln, PASHA Life Insurance – AZN 8 mln, Silk Way Insurance collected AZN 7.5 mln and Ateshgah Life Insurance – AZN 7.4 mln. Total premiums of these companies made 59% (AZN 60.2 mln) of total payments.

The insurers with the less premiums are Ravan Sigorta (AZN 372,700), Bashak Inam (AZN 282,600), Amrah Sigorta (AZN 210,700), Azergarant (AZN 100,600), and Gunay Sigorta (AZN 24,800). Total payments of these insurers amount to about AZN 1 mln - 1% of total payments.

Generally, 2 insurance companies’ premiums make over AZN 10 mln, 5 companies – AZN 5-10 mln, 8 companies – AZN 1-5 mln, 5 companies – AZN 0.5-1 mln, 7 companies – below AZN 0.5 mln. 16 insurers increased premiums, 11 decreased.
