Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of September 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ assets stood at AZN 18,918.90 mln, up AZN 3,907.04 mln or 26.0% from year earlier.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the assets increased by AZN 2,388.49 mln or 14.5% in January-August, 2013.

Most of assets were loans given to clients. So, such loans made AZN 13,187.0 mln (69.7% of total assets). Moreover, AZN 1,519.9 mln was investments, AZN 987.7 mln – correspondent accounts, AZN 721.2 mln – loans and deposits for financial sector, AZN 813.4 mln – cash funds and AZN 1,689.7 mln – other assets.
AZN 8,438.7 mln of obligations were deposits, AZN 6,180.3 mln – loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 1,229.4 mln – other liabilities and AZN 3,070.5 mln – capital.
