Baku. Ali Ahmadov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijani-Latvian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic cooperation has today held a meeting in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
Transport Minister Ziya Mammadov said that issues on future development of relations between the two countries were discussed at the meeting. The sides discussed working groups, proposals and questions.
‘Since 2009, trade turnover between both countries increased by more than 2 times and this is an indicator that cooperation between Latvia and Azerbaijan at a high level’, noted the minister.
In turn, Transport Minister of Latvia Anrijs Matiss stressed that holding of today’s business forum between the entrepreneurs of the two countries would allow further extension of ties in business sphere.
The meeting was attended by representatives from ICT, education, health, finance and other fields.
At the end of the event, the sides signed a protocol on outcomes of the commission’s meeting.
