Azerbaijan sees 34% rise in state budgetâ€™s incomes, 59% - in expenditures

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. During the first quarter of 2013, the state budget received AZN 4,669.4 mln, and AZN 4,514.8 mln was spent to financing of different social and economic events.

State Statistical Committee says compared to a year earlier, budget incomes rose 33.9% or AZN 1,181.6 mln, expenditures – 58.8% or AZN 1,671.6 mln. Budget surplus made 1.2% of GDP.

During the reporting period, 11.8% of budget incomes came from legal entities profit tax, 12.7% - from VAT, 4.1% - from individuals’ income tax, 2.9% - excises, 3.1% - from taxes on external economic activity, 2.2% - from other taxes, 63.2% - from non-tax incomes.

AZN 2,148.2 mln (47.6%) of budget funds went to economic development, AZN 511.1 mln (11.3%) – to social protection and social security, AZN 346 mln (7.7%) – to education and health.
