Azerbaijan sees 23% rise in manat money supply

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2013, M3 money supply made AZN 16,863.7 mln, up AZN 2,543.8 mln or 17.8% from previous year.

 

Central Bank of Azerbaijan says money supply rose AZN 88.4 mln or 0.5% in January-March.

 

Note that M3 Board includes cash out of banks, demand and term deposits.

 

M2 Board of money supply rose AZN 2,574.0 mln or 22.9% to AZN 13,837.4 mln in comparison to a year earlier.

As it seems, the cash money supply rose AZN 1,757.9 mln or 24.3%. So, 68.3% of growth of manat money supply fell to share of cash growth.

 

As of April 1, 2013, the cashing level in the country was equal to AZN 65.0%, up 0.7 percentage points.

 

Note that growth rate of manat money supply decreased in 2010-2011. So, the growth made 34.5% in 2010, 32.5% - in 2011 and 25.6% - in 2012.
