Azerbaijanâ€™s economy increases 3.8% year-on-year

State Statistical Committee says per head GDP made AZN 1,861.9 ($2,372.8), up 2.5% compared with a year earlier.

“Value added in non-oil sector rose 10.9% and its share in was GDP 51.5%. Increase of non-oil sector was caused by rise of value added in construction by 1.4 times, in tourist accommodation and catering services – 21.3%. Along with this, the value added in trade and vehicle repair rose 9.4%, in information and communication – 8.9%, transport and storehouse – 5.3%, agriculture, forestry and fishery – 4.8%”.

51.3% of GDP were produced in industry, 2.5% - in agriculture, forestry and fishery, 9% - in construction, 7.8% - in trade and vehicle repair, 6.2% - in transport and storehouse, 2% - in tourist accommodation and catering services, 1.8% - in information and communication, 12.7% - in social and other spheres. Net taxes for products and import made 6.4% of GDP.
