Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. As of April 1, 2013, Azerbaijan-based commercial banks’ assets stood at AZN 18,494.43 mln, up AZN 3,808.53 mln or 25.9% from year earlier.
According to Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the assets have increased by AZN 851.0 mln or 4.8% in the first quarter of 2013.

Most of assets were loans given to clients. So, such loans made AZN 11,304.0 mln. Besides, AZN 1,564.7 mln was investments, AZN 1,371.3 mln – correspondent accounts, AZN 753.2 mln – loans and deposits for financial sector, AZN 815.5 mln – cash funds and AZN 2,685.8 mln – other assets.
AZN 8,242.6 mln of liabilities were deposits, AZN 5,316.6 mln – loans and deposits from financial sector, AZN 2,267.6 mln – other liabilities and AZN 2,667.7 mln – capital.
