Informing about economic situation in Latvia, the minister noted that impact of the financial crisis had reduced in Latvia and since 2010, the country restored economic growth: ‘This year economic growth is expected to make 4% in our country’.
The minister noted that trade turnover between the two countries makes 24.5 mln euros. Of which 20.8 mln falls to share of goods from Latvia, 3.7 mln – on goods from Azerbaijan. 90% of products exported from Azerbaijan to Latvia are mineral and food products. 90% of products exported from Latvia to Azerbaijan are animal and chemical products.
In order to extend economic relations with Azerbaijan and strengthen cooperation between entrepreneurs of both countries, Latvian minister offered to establish joint ventures.
