The annual inflation rate in the Eurozone in February came in at record 5.8%, increasing by 0.7 percentage points in comparison to the month before, Eurostat revealed in its preliminary report published on Wednesday, APA-Economics reports.
The report estimated that energy will have the highest annual rate of inflation of 31.7% compared to January's 28.8%. Food, alcohol and tobacco will stand at 4.1% in comparison to last month's 3.5%, while non-energy industrial goods and services will be 3.0% and 2.5% respectively.
The lowest inflation rates are expected in France, Malta and Finland, while the highest inflation rates are expected in Lithuania and Estonia.
