Stella Renita, Head of the EIB Group Regional Representation for the South Caucasus, said this in an interview with APA-Economics.
Renita said Azerbaijan’s investment needs go beyond green energy. “Infrastructure is important for developing the non-oil economy, whether we are talking about transport connections or more sustainable infrastructure in cities.”
She added that access to finance for smaller businesses is another area where the EIB has experience, including through partnerships with local banks.
“We are keen to explore where we could do more in Azerbaijan,” she said.
