Baku. Ilham Isabalayeva - APA-Economics. Azerbaijan has agreed with two more countries - Kyrgyzstan and Georgia – on protocols of bilateral negotiations on the country’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO).
Adalat Muradov, foreign trade policy and WTO officer of the Ministry of Economic Development, said the protocol might be signed Kyrgyzstan today, and the date has not been defied with Georgia yet.
He added that agreement has been almost reached with Moldova too.
“The parties are close to the stage of the agreement. Currently, the protocol is being agreed upon,” he added.
He added that negotiations on the WTO accession are under way with 20 countries.
“Negotiations with Japan and Korea are advancing rapidly and are on the track of completion,” he added.
Muradov said that bilateral talks will be held with Japan, Korea, Ecuador and Brazil in Geneva on November 25-28.
Referring to the negotiations with Poland, Muradov said that agreement has not been reached with this country.
“Poland is a member of the European Union. We are not negotiating with Poland but with the European Union,” he added.
He said that Azerbaijan have so far secured protocols with Turkey, Oman and the United Arab Emirates.
