CIS Coordinating Board of Taxation Services meets in Baku

Representatives from the CIS Executive Committee, Baltic States and tax authorities of Azerbaijan, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan are attending the meeting.
Tatiana Login, Head of State Tax Inspectorate (STI) of Moldova, said a number of issues, including changes in tax laws of the member states, exchange of experience in taxpayer registration, practice of avoidance of double taxation and so on will be discussed at the meeting.
Natig Gasimov, Deputy Minister of Taxes of Azerbaijan, underscored the importance of meetings for further improvement of taxation systems in the member systems.
He briefed the participants about the measures Azerbaijan has recently taken to improve tax administration in the country.
Then, a videotape about Azerbaijanâ€™s modern taxation system was displayed.
Fariz Samadov, Press Secretary of the Ministry of Taxes, told reporters that the implementation of an action plan for 2008 and the introduction of VAT deposit accounts in Azerbaijan will be discussed.
After the meeting, the participants will visit Tax Service Department of the Ministry of Taxes to acquaint themselves with the one-stop shop (single window) registration for businesses.
