UNIBANK expands its branch network

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. Unibank has opened a new branch-office in Shamkir, its fourth provincial branch. The bank told APA-Economics that the Shamkir Branch offers the customers the full range of banking services that Unibank has to offer, including retail and corporate deposits, consumer lending, micro-finance, business lending, money transfers, plastic cards and related services, etc. Unibank has opened nine new branches since the beginning of this year. Seven of them are in Baku. The Bank has 16 branches in Baku and 4 in the provinces of Azerbaijan.
Unibank also plans to vitalise its operations in Guba, Lenkoran, Gabala, Barda, Minghechavir and Khirdalan in the nearest future and is planning to open new branches in those towns.
Unibank is one of the largest private banks in Azerbaijan. Among the shareholders of Unibank are the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the German Investment Corporation – DEG.
The paid-up authorized capital of Unibank equals AZN 15 mn, while the consolidated capital of Unibank exceeds AZN 36.5 mn.
