Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover positive balance doubled in January-July

Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. USD 8 500 833,7 thousand positive balance was created in the Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover in January-July, 2010, the State Customs Committee told APA-Economics.
The positive balance doubled in comparison with the relevant period of 2009. Total volume of the trade turnover with 135 countries was USD 15 516 150,7 thousand and USD 12 008 492,2 thousand was created by the export operations, but USD 3 507 658,5 thousand – by import operations. 1 538 tonnes (USD 16 685,8 thousand) of disinterested and humanitarian aid entered the republic in this period.
The export volume increased 68.04%, import – 6.61%.
USD 92 308-thousand goods were exported from Azerbaijan and USD 231 929-thousand goods were imported to the country.
Oil crude (85.93%), oil products (6.14%) and vegetable and animal oil (1.02%) were the main exported goods. Engineering and electric devices and equipments (25.67%), foods (14.68%), transport means and their spare parts (13.41%) were the main part of import operations.
Italy (34.09%), Israel (9.54%), France (8.37%) were main partners of Azerbaijan in export operations in January-July, 2010 and Russia (16.82%), Turkey (11.31%) and China (8.78%) – in import operations.
