Azerbaijan’s foreign trade surplus grows 2.4 times

Baku. Vahab Rzayev – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan’s foreign trade turnover with 130 nations during January-June totaled $13.1 billion, including exports of $10.2 billion and imports of $2.9 billion, said the State Statistical Committee.
The trade surplus was $7.3 billion. The trade surplus grew 2.4 times.

Compared to the same period last year, foreign trade turnover rose 53.4%, imports rose 1.8 times and exports increased by 5.2%.

The country did 56.4% of the trade with Europe, 34.7% with Asia, 7.4% with Americas, 1.4% with Africa and 0.1% with Oceania. The country’s main trade partners in imports and exports included Italy (26.5%), Israel (7.8%), France (7.3%), Russia (6.5%), the United States (6%), Ukraine (4.9%), Indonesia (4.8%), China (3.1%), Malaysia (3.1%), Turkey (2.9%), Croatia (2.8%), India (2.4%), Germany (1.7%), Georgia (1.6%), other states (18.6%).
