YapiKredi Bank Azerbaijan sees 18% decline in population’s deposit

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev – APA-Economics. As of July 1, 2010, assets of Azerbaijan-based YapiKredi Bank stood at AZN 171.168 mln, up 13.3% compared with a year early.

Bank says the deposit portfolio rose by 69.4% to AZN 70.319 mln, population’s deposit 18% decreased to AZN 10.496 mln.

The loan portfolio soared by 2.8 times to AZN 56.853 mln, consumer lending surged 2.6% to AZN 3.753 mln. Total capital climbed 15.5% to AZN 47.307 mln, authorized capital ended up 16.2% to AZN 27.209 mln.

Income grew 44% to AZN 9.558 mln, spending 41% to AZN 5.639 mln. Profit went up 48.4% to AZN 3.919 mln. Bank established a branch, 3 ATMs and 16 POS-terminals during the same period. Staffs 20% increased to 128, average monthly salary soared 1.6% to AZN 1 724.

Owned by Turkey’s YapiKredi Bank (80%) and International Financial Corporation (20%) YapiKredi Bank Azerbaijan has been in operation since 2000. The bank operates 5 branches, 17 ATMs and 70 POS-terminals across the country.
