Azerbaijan increases volume of crediting

Baku. Nijat Mustafayev – APA-Economics. As of May, 2010, the volume of crediting in economy of Azerbaijan stood AZN 8.6 bln, up 37.1% or AZN 2.3 bln compared with a year ago.

According to State Statistical Committee, the 46.3% of crediting was by the state, 51.6% by private banks and 2.1% by non-banking credit organizations.

73.1% of given credits was long-term loans, 26.9% short-term loans. As of May 1, the short-term loans made AZN 2 314.2 mln, long-term loans AZN 6 291.3 mln up 10.4% and 50.5% compared with 2009.

The overdue credits rose by 81.9% to AZN 365.2 mln.
