Baku to host annual meeting of IDBâ€˜s council of chiefs next week

According to Ministry of Economic Development, the ministers of finance, Economy and Planning of 56 member countries, representatives of International Financial Organizations will attend the meeting. Generally, holding of near 30 meetings are expected during the measure.

The new projects for member couintries will be adopted and several credit contracts will be signed during the meeting. Annual report of IDB, holding of the 36th meeting in Tajikistan, the history and place of 39th annual meeting will be discussed in the meeting.

During the meeting, the investment Conference about the business opportunities of Azerbaijan and CIS countries will be held on June 21-22, by the organizing of Islamic Corporation on Development of Private Sector, Azerbaijan Investment Company and AzPromo (Azerbaijani Export & Investment Promotion Foundation).

IDB has been in operation since 1975. Azerbaijan has been a member of Bank since 1992.
