Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Axios, has said that US President Donald Trump and his team may pressure Ukraine into territorial concessions and demand the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from its own territory in order to end the war.
Zelenskyy said the latest talks between the Ukrainian delegation and Trump's envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner in Miami had produced no results.
He noted that after the conflict involving Iran ends, the US administration may resume pressure on Ukraine to force territorial concessions in order to end the war with Russia.
"I am sure President Trump and his team want to end the war. But why do we have to pay for this? We are not the aggressors. They don't see another way to stop Putin other than withdrawing Ukrainian troops from our territory. My concern is that nobody really values the danger of such a decision for our security."
Commenting on the situation in the Middle East, Zelenskyy also said that Russia fully supports Iran, providing Tehran with satellite images of US military bases and sharing operational experience in the use of drones.
